What are sessions like?
Initial sessions last 75 minutes in which you will be asked some questions to assess your goals for therapy. Subsequent sessions can be tailored to fit your specific needs and preferences to maximize the benefit for you. Typically, a session lasts one hour and begins with a verbal check-in and discussion of current issues or themes in your life. Then you will be invited to explore the themes through an arts process of your choosing, such as visual art, music, movement, drama, writing, puppetry, or sandplay. Finally, there will be an opportunity for you to process your experience and explore ways of applying the insights to your life.
Payments
This practice accepts fees through cash or personal check, and can provide necessary documentation for insurance companies as an "out-of-network provider." Medicaid is accepted and sliding scale fees are available for out-of-pocket payments. Call 919-357-6712 for a phone consultation to discuss payment options that will work for you.
